Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is among several football stars offering support to Jack Grealish after the Everton loanee confirmed a season-ending foot surgery that threatens his World Cup hopes.
Everton midfielder Jack Grealish will miss the remainder of the season following surgery for a stress fracture in his foot.
The 30-year-old, currently on loan from Manchester City, shared the update from his hospital bed on Instagram.
Liverpool’s Curtis Jones and former Reds captain Jordan Henderson were among the high-profile players who posted messages of support as the injury casts doubt on Grealish’s future.
The injury significantly impacts Grealish’s chances of joining England’s squad for this summer’s World Cup.
Despite the setback, Grealish remained defiant about his recovery, stating: “I know for sure I will come back fitter, stronger and better than before.”
While Everton holds a purchase option, his long-term path remains uncertain as Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola previously noted he has one year remaining.
