Régis Le Bris has welcomed Nilson Angulo back to the squad for the visit of Liverpool while confirming that key duo Granit Xhaka and Bertrand Traoré remain sidelined.
Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris has confirmed that Nilson Angulo is available for the Black Cats’ Premier League match against Liverpool on Wednesday.
The winger made his debut against Arsenal and is now fully integrated into the squad. Le Bris noted, “Nilson is ready to play.
He has trained with us and played a lot of football this year at a good level.”
However, the hosts remain without Granit Xhaka and Bertrand Traoré, who are both recovering from ankle and knee injuries respectively.
Midfielder Noah Sadiki is fit after a minor scare, and January signing Jocelin Ta Bi is nearing full sharpness. Le Bris emphasized patience for the injured duo, stating, “He needs to rest and take care of his knee. We can’t rush the process.”
