Real Madrid winger Rodrygo expressed his deep regret over never playing alongside his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, while teammate Kylian Mbappe faces growing frustration during the most injury-plagued season of his professional career.
Real Madrid winger Rodrygo revealed his biggest career regret is missing the chance to play alongside club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
Despite signing just before Ronaldo’s 2018 departure, age rules delayed Rodrygo’s arrival until 2019.
The Brazilian, who views the Portuguese icon as his primary role model, stated on a recent podcast, “I wanted to play with Cristiano Ronaldo, but it didn’t happen. It’s a shame.”
Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe is reportedly “very upset” after surpassing his personal record for days missed due to injury in a single season.
The Frenchman has suffered eight setbacks this year, totaling 53 days sidelined, exceeding his previous 2019-20 high.
His current knee issue makes him a major doubt for the upcoming Champions League clash against Manchester City, raising concerns over his fitness management.
