Emboldened by a dominant 4-1 victory over Villarreal, Barcelona’s squad has shifted focus to overturning a daunting four-goal deficit against Atletico Madrid in Tuesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final.
Barcelona players have expressed collective belief in a “magical night” at Camp Nou following their league success.
Hansi Flick’s side must overcome a 4-0 first-leg loss to reach the final. Hat-trick hero Lamine Yamal rallied supporters via social media, while Dani Olmo emphasized the squad’s motivation.
“We know we can do it, we expect a great atmosphere,” Olmo stated, noting the team’s improved form.
The dressing room remains defiant despite the significant challenge ahead. Left-back Alejandro Balde pointed to the team’s scoring potential as a reason for optimism.
“It’s always possible. If they scored four goals in the first leg, we can do the same,” he explained.
Young defender Pau Cubarsi echoed this sentiment, insisting that while difficult, the comeback remains within reach for the Catalan giants.
