Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz will return to the national squad for upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana following nearly a year of absence.
Julian Nagelsmann has announced the return of key attackers Jamal Musiala and Kai Havertz for Germany’s March internationals.
Both players have faced lengthy spells on the sidelines, missing significant portions of the national team’s recent schedule due to injuries.
Nagelsmann emphasized that their presence is critical as Die Mannschaft begins final preparations for the 2026 World Cup, starting with a trip to Switzerland.
The German coach highlighted the importance of reintegrating the duo to establish tactical consistency.
“With Kai and Jamal, it already makes sense for them to return in March, because it has felt like an eternity since they were last involved.
I haven’t seen Jamal with the national team for over ten months, and Kai for even longer,” Nagelsmann told Kicker. “It‘s very valuable to have them back.”
