Tottenham Hotspur manager Igor Tudor claimed “everything is against us” after a 5–2 Champions League defeat to Atlético Madrid condemned the club to a record-breaking sixth consecutive loss.
Igor Tudor’s tenure at Tottenham reached a new low following a crushing 5–2 first-leg defeat at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
The North London side conceded three times within fifteen minutes, forcing Tudor to substitute goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky on his debut.
“It was necessary to do this to preserve the guy and the team. Incredible situation,” Tudor explained, as Spurs registered six straight losses for the first time.
The manager remains winless since his February appointment but refused to discuss his job security ahead of a daunting trip to Liverpool.
Reflecting on a collision between Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, Tudor lamented the team’s fragility.
“An example of those moments, it’s incredible. Micky (Van de Ven) is already out of Liverpool with a red card. It looks like everything is against us.”
