Manchester City defender Marc Guehi has urged his teammates to believe in a historic turnaround as they face a three-goal deficit against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Manchester City centre-back Marc Guehi has issued a rallying cry following a bruising week for the club.
Trailing Real Madrid by three goals in the Champions League and sitting nine points behind Arsenal in the league, Guehi remains defiant.
He stated: “If you go into these games and don’t believe, there’s no point in turning up to play.” City must now overturn the European deficit.
The defender emphasized the importance of mental focus ahead of a pivotal week that includes the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal.
Guehi noted: “It’s football – we’ve all seen some crazy things happen in football so never say never.”
Despite recent setbacks, including a draw at West Ham, he added: “We’ll make sure we go for that game and believe that we can turn it around.”
