Player Ratings: Nightmare for 3/10 Sanchez as Chelsea UCL hopes dealt huge blow in 3-0 loss to Everton

Chelsea’s dismal run extended to four consecutive defeats on Saturday evening as Everton cruised to a 3-0 victory.

A brace from Beto and a late strike from Iliman Ndiaye left Lim Rosenior’s side embarrassed on Merseyside.

The West Londoners looked disjointed from the opening whistle, struggling to contain Everton’s physical presence.

While the Blues dominated patches of possession, individual defensive errors and a lack of clinical finishing ensured a comfortable night for the hosts, further heightening the pressure on the Chelsea hierarchy.

Chelsea Player Ratings

Robert Sanchez – 3

A nightmare outing for the Spaniard. He was incredibly lucky not to concede early after dawdling on the ball, and his lack of urgency was apparent for Beto’s opener. He appeared sluggish throughout and failed to command his area for the third goal, marking a low point in his Chelsea tenure.

Malo Gusto – 5

The fullback provided one crucial defensive intervention to deny James Garner early on, but he struggled to offer his usual attacking outlet. His evening was cut short as he was sacrificed at the interval in a tactical reshuffle that ultimately failed to turn the tide.

Wesley Fofana – 4

It was a nervous and uncertain performance from the Frenchman, who surrendered possession cheaply in the opening minutes. He was far too passive for Everton’s first goal, failing to anticipate the danger and allowing the hosts to seize momentum that Chelsea never recovered.

Jorrel Hato – 6

Deployed in the heart of the defense once again, the youngster was perhaps the most composed member of a struggling backline. While the team conceded three, Hato showed flashes of his potential and was less to blame for the structural collapses seen elsewhere.

Marc Cucurella – 6

With Everton focusing their attacks down the opposite flank, the Spaniard was rarely tested defensively. He looked energetic when moving into the final third, but despite his best efforts, he couldn’t find the decisive cross to unlock the Toffees’ stubborn defense.

Romeo Lavia – 5

Making a rare Premier League start, Lavia showed his technical quality with some neat distribution. However, he offered very little protection to his center-backs, often bypassed too easily as Everton transitioned quickly through the middle of the park.

Moises Caicedo – 5

The Ecuadorian had a surprisingly sloppy start, with his passing accuracy well below his usual standards. Although he looked slightly more comfortable after shifting to right-back in the second half, it was a far cry from the dominant midfield displays fans expect.

Enzo Fernandez – 5

The midfielder missed a golden opportunity to get his side back into the game when Jordan Pickford denied his close-range effort. Beyond that chance, he struggled to find space between Everton’s lines and failed to dictate the tempo of the match.

Cole Palmer – 6

Once again, Palmer was the primary source of hope for the visitors. He looked sharp and inventive on the ball, but he was frequently isolated as his teammates failed to gamble on his clever through-balls or match his creative intensity.

Pedro Neto – 5

It was a night of frustration for the winger, who found no joy on either flank. He was neutralized effectively by Everton’s disciplined fullbacks and was eventually replaced after failing to record a single successful take-on during the second half.

Joao Pedro – 5

The Brazilian striker was starved of service and struggled to contend with Everton’s robust central defenders. He spent most of the match dropping deep to search for the ball, which left Chelsea without a focal point in the penalty area.

Substitutes

Alejandro Garnacho – 5

Introduced at halftime to spark an attacking revival, the winger showed plenty of intent but lacked the final product. He often ran into dead ends as Everton’s defense sat deep to protect their three-goal advantage.

Andrey Santos – 5

Coming on to stabilize the midfield, he instead committed a costly error by losing possession in the buildup to Everton’s second goal. It was a lapse in concentration that effectively ended any hopes of a Chelsea comeback.

Estevao Willian – 6

The bright spot among the substitutes, the youngster looked dangerous and direct during his twenty-minute cameo. His performance suggested he perhaps deserved a starting spot given the lack of urgency from those he replaced.
