Real Madrid eye Manchester City star Rodri with significant summer fund – Report

Real Madrid have reportedly allocated €100 million to sign Spanish midfielder Rodri from Manchester City this summer, as the club seeks a dominant successor to fill the creative and structural void left by Toni Kroos.

Real Madrid are reportedly intensifying their pursuit of Manchester City’s Rodri, earmarking €100 million for a summer transfer.

The Spanish giants have pivoted their focus toward the 29-year-old following complications in their pursuit of other defensive targets.

Despite his history with rivals Atlético Madrid, Rodri has signaled openness to the move, noting that “you cannot turn down the best clubs in the world.”

The potential acquisition is seen as a vital step in restoring control to a Madrid midfield that has struggled since the departure of Toni Kroos.

Although Rodri is currently recovering from a knee injury and remains under contract until 2027, Madrid officials believe his leadership could transform the team’s structure.

The interest appears mutual, as Rodri recently admitted his past “would not prevent him from playing for Real Madrid.”
