Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has declared he has no regrets over leaving Paris Saint-Germain, despite the French club securing their maiden Champions League title just one year after his departure.
Kylian Mbappé has insisted he felt his “story” at Paris Saint-Germain was over after seven seasons, despite the club finally winning the Champions League following his move to Madrid.
Speaking on “The Bridge” podcast, the World Cup winner reflected on his tenure and relationship with Luis Enrique.
He stated: “But when I left, I felt I had reached the end of the story.”
The striker also praised the clinical nature of former teammate Lionel Messi and identified Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo as his primary inspirations.
Discussing the tactical side of the game, Mbappé controversially labeled centre-back as the “easiest position” due to its longevity.
He noted: “It’s the only position where you see players aged 40 who are still playing in Europe at the highest level.”
