Former Manchester City defender Reece Wabara has successfully transitioned from professional football to the business world, building a global fashion brand, Manière De Voir, which now generates £35 million in annual revenue.

Reece Wabara, who made a single Premier League appearance for Manchester City, retired at 26 to focus on his fashion label, Manière De Voir.

Launched in 2013 with a £15,000 investment, the brand bridges high fashion and streetwear.

Wabara’s net worth was recently estimated at £83 million, surpassing many elite athletes. He noted: “I founded MDV in late 2013 and launched a collection.”

The brand has expanded from tracksuits to a global powerhouse with flagship stores in London and New York.

Now a fixture on rich lists, Wabara recently bought out his business partner to retain full control of the firm.

Reflecting on his career pivot, the former defender admitted his realistic outlook on sport drove his success, stating: “I knew my football days at City were coming to an end.”
