Minnesota United have confirmed that Colombian star James Rodríguez has begun a supervised return-to-activity program following an emergency hospitalization for severe dehydration suffered during the recent international break.
Minnesota United issued a positive update regarding James Rodríguez after the 34-year-old was hospitalized for IV fluid therapy.
The former Real Madrid playmaker fell ill following Colombia’s friendly against France, leading to three days of medical care.
“James reported to the club’s training facility today, Monday, April 6, and participated in a supervised return-to-activity session,” the club stated while dismissing rumors of more serious conditions.
The Loons’ medical department is carefully managing Rodríguez’s reintegration into the first team following his difficult start in MLS.
Having played only 39 minutes this season due to various fitness setbacks, his availability for Sunday’s clash against San Diego FC remains dependent on clinical progress.
The club emphasized that his return will follow strict protocols “to ensure no further setbacks” as they look to climb the table.
