Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has expressed confidence in a comeback despite a narrow defeat to Bayern Munich, while a frustrated Kylian Mbappé reportedly refused post-match interviews.
Andriy Lunin has urged Real Madrid supporters to keep the faith following their 1-2 home loss to Bayern Munich.
The goalkeeper, standing in for the injured Thibaut Courtois, acknowledged the difficulty of the quarter-final clash but highlighted the team’s resilience.
Looking ahead to the second leg at the Allianz Arena, Lunin stated, “It’s the Champions League quarter-finals. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy.”
In contrast, Kylian Mbappé was reportedly overcome by “complete frustration” after the final whistle.
Despite scoring Madrid’s only goal, the Frenchman declined media duties and headed straight to the locker room.
Reports suggest he was annoyed by missed opportunities and the crowd’s reaction to the performance.
Lunin, however, remains focused on the turnaround, noting, “the team reacted well. We attacked a lot and we’re still in it.”
