Mohamed Salah sends message to Andrew Roberson as defender joins him in Liverpool exit list

Mohamed Salah has shared a moving social media tribute to long-time teammate Andy Robertson following the defender’s announcement that he will leave Liverpool as a free agent this summer.

Mohamed Salah has paid a personal tribute to Andy Robertson after the Scotsman confirmed his nine-year spell at Liverpool is ending.

Both players, who arrived in 2017, are set to depart Anfield following a period of unprecedented modern success.

On social media, Salah praised their deep bond and Robertson’s legacy. “It’s been an honour to be your teammate and your friend,” the Egyptian forward wrote.

Robertson leaves Anfield as a “genuine Liverpool legend” with 373 appearances and nine major trophies.

Despite losing his starting spot to Milos Kerkez this season, the 32-year-old remains focused on a strong finish.

Reflecting on his exit alongside Salah, Robertson admitted the decision was difficult. “I’ve had an amazing nine years here,” he said. “I think now is the time for me to move on.”
