Ronaldo set for historic sixth World Cup with Portugal

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo is set to make history after being named in the country’s provisional squad for the 2026 World Cup. The 41-year-old forward could become the first man to feature at six World Cups. Coach Roberto Martinez also paid tribute to late forward Diogo Jota, calling him “our strength, our joy.” Portugal face DR Congo, Uzbekistan and Colombia in Group K, while stars including Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and Rafael Leao also made the squad.
