Barcelona are pushing hard to sign Atlético Madrid striker Julián Álvarez after sealing a deal for Anthony Gordon, ESPN reports.
The Spanish champions believe the Argentine forward prefers a move to Camp Nou over Arsenal and PSG, with talks already held between Barça and the player’s camp.
Álvarez, who scored 20 goals this season, could cost over €100m, though Atlético insist they do not want to sell.
Barcelona are reportedly planning a major attacking rebuild as Robert Lewandowski prepares to leave on a free transfer. PSG boss Luis Enrique is also keen on the former Manchester City striker, while Arsenal remain in the race.
Still, Barça hope Álvarez’s desire to join Hansi Flick’s side could swing the battle their way.
