$450 a square: FIFA selling match-used turf from 2026 World Cup final at MetLife Stadium

FIFA is selling 10cm x 10cm sections of the match-used pitch from the 2026 World Cup final at MetLife Stadium for $450 each, with every piece preserved in a display case and accompanied by an official certificate of authenticity, according to The Washington Times.

FIFA is putting World Cup history up for sale — literally.

The sport’s governing body is offering fans the chance to purchase a 10-centimetre by 10-centimetre section of the match-used turf from the 2026 World Cup final for $450 through its official online store..

The grass will be sourced directly from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey — officially rebranded as New York New Jersey Stadium for the tournament — where football’s biggest game is scheduled to take place on July 19. Each piece will be carefully removed after the final, preserved and mounted in a display case, and accompanied by an official FIFA certificate of authenticity.

FIFA said the commemorative turf squares will only be made available after the final has been played, ensuring every piece comes directly from the match surface itself. The initiative forms part of FIFA’s expanding official memorabilia range tied to the record-breaking 48-team tournament.
