‘Saved by the Referee’ — Haaland’s Dad fumes at England win

Alf-Inge Haaland has accused the referee of favoring England in their 2-1 World Cup quarter-final win over Norway.

Alf-Inge Haaland didn’t mince words after Norway’s World Cup exit at the hands of England.

According to BreakingNews.ie, the former Leeds midfielder claimed his son’s team were “robbed” and that Thomas Tuchel’s England side were “saved by the referee” in Miami.

The flashpoint came when Torbjorn Heggem’s goal was ruled out after Erling Haaland shoved Elliot Anderson at a corner.

Haaland senior also reacted to a penalty overturned via VAR after Djed Spence was accused of diving, gesturing toward the crowd on TV. Despite his frustration, he said he hoped England go on to win the tournament.
