Kick It Out calls for stronger football sanctions as discrimination reports surge. The anti-discrimination body recorded a record 1,255 incidents in the 2025-26 season across English football, a sharp rise from 960. Samuel Okafor, CEO, stated racism is “deeply ingrained” and reflects wider society. Racism, homophobia, and Islamophobia reports all jumped significantly. “Tougher sanctions are needed,” Okafor declared.
