Nigeria will play Mozambique in the AFCON 2025 Round of 16 on January 5 in Fez after finishing the group stage with a perfect winning record.
Nigeria is set to face Mozambique in the Round of 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, following the conclusion of the group stage on Wednesday night.
The Super Eagles, who maintained a perfect record by topping Group C with three consecutive wins, will travel to Fez for the knockout encounter.
The match is scheduled for Monday, January 5, at 19:00 GMT, as Nigeria continues its pursuit of continental glory in Morocco.
A total of 16 nations have progressed to the knockout phase, including heavyweights such as Morocco, Senegal, and Egypt.
Organizers confirmed the match-ups after the final Group F standings placed Mozambique as a third-placed qualifier.

The Round of 16 will take place across various Moroccan cities from January 3 to 6, 2026.

Should the match between Nigeria and Mozambique remain tied after 90 minutes, it will proceed to extra time and potentially a penalty shootout to determine who advances to the quarter-finals scheduled for January 9–10.
