Alan Shearer has dismissed Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler’s complaints regarding Arsenal’s time-wasting, urging the Seagulls boss to focus on his own side’s poor run of form instead.
Alan Shearer has told Fabian Hurzeler to “concentrate on his own team” following the Brighton manager’s criticism of Arsenal’s game management.
After the Gunners’ 1-0 win, Hurzeler complained about the lack of “net time” and accused Arsenal of manipulating rules.
Shearer argued that fans do not care about aesthetics during a title charge, noting Brighton has only managed three wins in sixteen matches.
Gary Lineker echoed these sentiments, suggesting rival jealousy stems from Arsenal’s genuine threat to the Premier League title.
While Hurzeler called for stricter rules, stating, “In the end we have to make the limits,” Shearer insisted that winning is the only metric that matters.
He concluded that if Arsenal win the league, they will have simply found a way to be the best.
