Como has signed Alvaro Morata on loan from AC Milan, marking their 12th summer signing. Morata, who previously played for Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Juventus, brings Serie A experience. Head coach Cesc Fabregas praised Morata’s intelligence and character, anticipating a positive impact on the team.
Como has made a significant addition to their squad, securing the services of Spanish international Alvaro Morata on loan from AC Milan. The move comes after Morata's initial agreement with Galatasaray for the first half of the 2025-26 season was mutually terminated, paving the way for his transfer to the Italian side.
Morata brings a wealth of experience to Como, having played for top clubs such as Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid. He also has a proven track record in Serie A, with previous spells at Juventus and AC Milan.
In 146 Serie A appearances, Morata has scored 40 goals and provided 28 assists, showcasing his ability to contribute both as a scorer and a creator. His trophy cabinet includes two Serie A titles, a Coppa Italia, two Champions League titles with Real Madrid, and a Europa League triumph with Chelsea.
Morata is Como's 12th signing of the summer, joining other notable players such as Jesus Rodriguez, Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn, and Martin Baturina. The loan deal includes an obligation to buy, indicating Como's long-term commitment to the player.
"I'm really happy to have arrived in Como," Morata said on the club's website. "Last year, playing against them, I was able to appreciate the team and the project; you can see that there is a lot of ambition. I promise the fans and the club that I will give 200% in every training session and every match. I can’t wait to wear this shirt."
Morata's arrival is also a reunion with his former Chelsea teammate, Cesc Fabregas, who is now the head coach of Como. Fabregas believes Morata's personality and intelligence will be invaluable to the team.
"I’ve known Alvaro for many years, and I’ve always admired the way he plays and the way he carries himself," Fabregas said. "He’s an intelligent striker who has delivered in the biggest moments and a team-mate who lifts everyone around him. We’re so happy to have him here at Como."
