Ahead of Barcelona’s return to Stamford Bridge, Andres Iniesta reflects on his unforgettable 2009 goal against Chelsea that secured a Champions League final spot.
According to a report from Football España, former Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta said his famed goal against Chelsea in the 2009 Champions League semi-final was “the best of my career.”
Iniesta struck in the 92nd minute at Stamford Bridge to level the match, sending Barcelona through to the final.
Reflecting on his career, he told a Q&A sponsored by Estrella Damm: “I’ve had many important moments … But what stays with me … the goal at Stamford Bridge, which was the best of my career.”
He also highlighted other key personal milestones — his debut for Barca’s first team and the major titles won during his time there
