Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has announced he will leave Anfield at the end of the season, ending a decorated nine-year spell that saw him win every major trophy with the Reds.
Andy Robertson has confirmed his departure from Liverpool this summer after nearly 400 appearances for the club.
Despite winning the Premier League and Champions League, the Scotsman remains characteristically modest about his status on Merseyside.
“I’ll let other people say if I’m a Liverpool legend or not – I think you know me well enough that I will never accept that,” Robertson stated.
The left-back arrived from Hull City for £8 million in 2017 and eventually became a pillar of Jurgen Klopp’s trophy-winning era.
Reflecting on his deep connection with the Anfield faithful, Robertson expressed gratitude for their unwavering support throughout his tenure.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better fan base,” he added. “The nine years, I’ll look back with a big smile on my face.”
