Arsenal are set to miss William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli for their Carabao Cup tie against Brighton, but Mikel Arteta confirmed Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, and Riccardo Calafiori are available.
Saliba, Rice, and Calafiori were all substituted during the win over Crystal Palace, while Martinelli’s condition also raised concern. “ is out. We are assessing him, but he won’t be involved this match,” Arteta said. “ looks as well that he is going to be out. We have to do some more tests and see the extent of the injury.”
Arteta said Saka, Rice, and Calafiori are “fine” and “available.” He also revealed that Ben White has suffered a setback in training but is “in a good place now” and nearing full fitness.
The Arsenal boss hinted at squad rotation against Brighton, saying, “We’re going to try to manage the minutes and the loads as best we can… but we’ll remain very competitive.”
