Paul Scholes has criticized this season’s title race, claiming that neither Arsenal nor Manchester City have performed well enough to be crowned Premier League champions.
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has delivered a blunt verdict on the current Premier League title race.
Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast, the former midfielder admitted that none of the top sides have impressed him enough to earn the championship.
Despite Arsenal currently leading Manchester City by five points, Scholes remains entirely unconvinced by the standard of play.
Scholes proposed a radical solution, suggesting the league simply withhold the silverware this campaign.
“No Premier League club has convinced me that they should be Premier League champions,” he stated. He reinforced his stance by adding, “I don’t think they should give the trophy out this year. No club deserves it.”
His criticism highlights a perceived lack of quality among frontrunners.
