Declan Rice has downplayed injury concerns with a reassuring social media post after being substituted during Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea, which kept the Gunners five points clear at the top.
Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice appears to have avoided a serious setback after limping off during Sunday’s London derby.
While Mikel Arteta admitted the England international would require assessment before Wednesday’s clash with Brighton, Rice took to Instagram to reassure supporters.
“Declan had to be substituted, so he’s going to have to get checked and see if he’s available for Wednesday,” Arteta noted following the win.
Despite the manager’s cautious stance, Rice shared a celebratory image with the caption “keep pushing,” signaling optimism regarding his fitness.
His potential availability is crucial as Arsenal navigates a congested schedule featuring the FA Cup and Champions League.
Arteta remains hopeful about his squad’s overall health, stating of David Raya’s late knock, “I don’t know what happened in that action… But overall, very happy.”
