Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for October, beating Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta despite the Gunners winning all their matches without conceding a goal. The Basque tactician has turned Arsenal into solid title favourites, but Amorim’s revival of a struggling United side was deemed the greater achievement.
The Portuguese coach led United to three wins from three, including a 2-1 victory over Liverpool, a 4-2 triumph against Brighton, and a 2-0 result against Sunderland. Amorim said: “The credit is not mine, the credit is for my players. They did really well, and our goal is to win the next one.”
