Jan-Christian Dreesen has welcomed Harry Kane’s willingness to extend his contract beyond 2027, labeling the striker a vital leader for the club’s future.
Bayern Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has reacted positively to Harry Kane’s recent suggestion that he could extend his stay at the Allianz Arena beyond 2027.
During a visit to a fan club, the England captain signaled his openness to a longer commitment with the German giants.
Dreesen welcomed the news, stating, “If he said that, then I am happy about it,” while emphasizing the striker’s vital role within the squad.
The 32-year-old forward is currently viewed as the focal point of Bayern’s long-term project under manager Vincent Kompany.
Dreesen praised the striker’s impact on and off the pitch, noting, “He is very important to our team with his goals, his style of play and his leadership skills.”
As Kane prepares for the upcoming World Cup, his next contract is expected to be the final major deal of his record-breaking career.
Despite the mutual interest in a renewal, the club hierarchy is not rushing to finalize terms while Kane still has eighteen months remaining on his current agreement.
Dreesen assured supporters that formal negotiations would take place when the time is right, adding, “We will certainly speak to each other at the appropriate and right time.”
For now, the club maintains “great trust in the process and in Harry.”
