Bayern Munich’s South American scouts have identified promising Brazilian teenagers Rayan and Souza as potential future signings, with Rayan considered a possible deputy to star striker Harry Kane, aiming to bolster both attack and defense.

According to a report from German publication Bild and their podcast ‘Bayern Insider’, Bayern Munich scouts in South America have focused on two Brazilian teenagers as “potential transfer targets,” including a player viewed as a possible backup for star striker Harry Kane.
The report notes that Vincent Kompany’s team, despite having made an “extraordinary start to 2025-26,” leading the Bundesliga by six points and topping the Champions League league phase after four successive European victories, is actively planning for the future by increasing its focus on South American talent.
The two players identified are a versatile forward and a left-back:
Rayan: The 19-year-old forward from Vasco da Gama is capable of playing as a central striker or right winger. He has already amassed 91 appearances and 20 goals for Vasco, with 17 of those strikes coming during a “productive 2025 season.”
Bayern reportedly views Rayan as a backup option to both Kane and their wide forwards. Rayan is valued at around €18 million (£15.8 million, $20.7 million), though a potential transfer has “not yet progressed.”
Souza: The 19-year-old defender from Santos is considered one of Brazil’s leading young left-backs. He has made 25 appearances and contributed three goal contributions across all competitions for Santos in 2025.
Souza is viewed as an “alternative” at left-back, especially while Canada international Alphonso Davies recovers from an ACL injury. The starlet is valued at approximately €3 million (£2.6 million, $3.5 million).
