Jude Bellingham says he is in peak form again as Real Madrid prepare to face Barcelona in a crucial La Liga clash at the Bernabeu.
Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has issued a confident message to Marcus Rashford and Barcelona ahead of Sunday’s El Clasico, declaring himself “strong and positive” after an injury-hit start to the season.
The England international missed the opening weeks due to shoulder surgery and endured a tense relationship with national coach Thomas Tuchel, who once labelled his on-field antics “repulsive.” But Bellingham has since rediscovered his form, netting his first Champions League goal of the campaign against Juventus.
Ahead of the showdown, Bellingham said: “It’s probably one of the biggest matches in the world. As a kid, I watched them all… it’s an incredible match to play, especially at home, and I’m really looking forward to it.”
He added: “I feel very good and happy. Finally back on the pitch… probably in the best physical condition I’ve been in a long time. I’m ready to contribute and give whatever it takes for the team to win.”
Real Madrid lead La Liga by two points, while Barcelona, hit by injuries, aim to defend their dominance after four straight wins over their fierce rivals last season.
