Elvis Basanovic has provided an encouraging update on the Manchester United striker’s knee injury, suggesting he might return to action sooner than expected.
Benjamin Sesko’s agent, Elvis Basanovic, provided a hopeful update on the Manchester United striker’s knee injury, according to a report from The Mirror.
Sesko has missed four Premier League fixtures since being withdrawn against Tottenham, but Basanovic is optimistic.
He revealed: “Benjamin is feeling very well. His rehabilitation is progressing according to plan,” adding that he thinks “we’ll see him back on the pitch very soon. Maybe even sooner than expected.”
Manager Ruben Amorim confirmed the striker’s return is timely, coinciding with the imminent loss of Bryan Mbeumo, Amad, and Noussair Mazraoui to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Amorim said: “When they are going to camp [for the tournament], I expect to have Ben back.”
The club is currently in talks with national teams about delaying the trio’s departure until after the match against Bournemouth on December 15.
