Borussia Dortmund ended Hoffenheim’s six-match unbeaten run with a 2-0 victory, secured by goals from Julian Brandt and Man of the Match Nico Schlotterbeck.
Borussia Dortmund secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over TSG Hoffenheim at Signal Iduna Park, successfully halting the visitors’ impressive six-match unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga.
Julian Brandt, in his 200th top-flight appearance for the club, opened the scoring two minutes before halftime with a close-range finish following a pass from Yan Couto.
The home side cemented their win on the hour mark when captain Nico Schlotterbeck directed his shot home, scoring despite “losing his footing as he struck the ball.”
Schlotterbeck was named Man of the Match after his goal and a commanding defensive display helped Dortmund secure a crucial clean sheet.
