Forward Bryan Mbeumo sparked injury fears during Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Aston Villa after being seen limping and shaking his head while substituted for eventual goalscorer Benjamin Sesko.
Gary Neville has raised alarms regarding Bryan Mbeumo’s fitness following Manchester United’s victory over Aston Villa.
The forward, who has been a standout performer under Michael Carrick, was seen limping and “shaking his head” as he exited the pitch for Benjamin Sesko.
Neville noted the interaction with Diogo Dalot, asking on Sky Sports, “Is he injured? Is he limping, Mbeumo? He was shaking his head.”
Despite the 3-1 win, Mbeumo’s apparent physical struggle remains a concern for United’s coaching staff.
The 26-year-old has been substituted in four consecutive matches, though his goal drought has now reached five games.
With United currently holding third place, Carrick will be hoping for a swift recovery ahead of Friday’s trip to Bournemouth, especially with an international break looming for recuperation.
