CAF and the AFCON Morocco 2025 committee will provide free e-visas for fans attending the tournament, requiring a Fan ID and e-visa obtained via the YALLA app for entry.
According to a report from Punchng.com, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee officially announced that supporters traveling to the continent’s biggest football event will be eligible for free electronic visas (e-visas).
This policy is specifically designed to benefit citizens of countries who would typically require a visa to enter Morocco.
The announcement was made public amid what the governing body described as growing global demand for tickets to the competition, which will feature 24 participating teams and be held across nine stadiums in six host cities.
CAF confirmed the details in a statement on its website, providing specifics on the application process and requirements.
Fans planning to attend the tournament, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, must secure two crucial documents: a Fan Identification (ID) and an e-visa (if required), noting that the Fan ID is mandatory for entry to all stadiums and official Fan Areas.
The official statement outlined the seamless integration of the application process: “Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,” and added that
“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike.”
To apply, supporters must download the YALLA app or visit the official website, complete the Fan ID form, and then submit the e-visa request. Once approved, match tickets can be purchased on the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF concluded by emphasizing the fan-centric nature of the decision: “The new measures are designed to deliver a seamless, secure fan experience for Africa’s showpiece event that will be played across nine stadiums in six cities.”
