A limp Spurs performance was characterized by poor defending, allowing goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi (two) and Ibrahim Sangaré.
The result piled pressure back onto Spurs coach Thomas Frank as their recent winning streak was abruptly halted.
Forest took the lead in the 28th minute after a calamitous defensive error: Guglielmo Vicario’s hospital pass led to Sangaré dispossessing Archie Gray, who set up Hudson-Odoi for a tap-in.
The winger bagged a freakish second five minutes after the break when his attempted cross sailed over Vicario’s head and into the net.
Forest capped off a deeply satisfying week when Sangaré unleashed a sensational 79th-minute strike from the edge of the area to make it three.
