A heated touchline altercation between Massimiliano Allegri and Cesc Fabregas overshadowed a 1-1 draw at San Siro, leaving Milan’s title hopes fading and both managers facing disciplinary scrutiny.
A tactical stalemate turned hostile as veteran AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri and Como’s Cesc Fabregas were embroiled in a fiery confrontation.
Fabregas sparked the melee by physically obstructing Alexis Saelemaekers, leading to Allegri’s dismissal.
The result leaves Milan trailing in the Scudetto race, while Como’s hard-fought point was marred by a tunnel spat where Allegri allegedly labeled his counterpart “a child.”
Following the match, Fabregas expressed remorse for his unsporting intervention.
“I ask for forgiveness because I did something I’m not proud of, I did something unsporting,” the Spaniard admitted.
However, Allegri remained critical of the rookie’s lack of discipline, remarking: “He is a very young coach. I wish him to win a lot in his career because he has all the qualities to do so.”
