Player Ratings: Chalobah 7/10 Chelsea’s hero as Caicedo 4/10 flops with red card in Arsenal draw

Arsenal drew 1-1 with Chelsea in a fiery Premier League encounter where Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo was sent off, but Trevoh Chalobah still put them ahead before Mikel Merino equalized for the Gunners.

Arsenal secured a draw at Stamford Bridge, which took them five points clear at the top of the Premier League, according to a report from GiveMeSport.

The 1-1 result came after a “fiery early exchange” which saw three players booked in the opening 13 minutes and culminated in Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo being sent off when VAR overturned his yellow card for an “overly heavy and offhand tackle” on Mikel Merino.

Chelsea took the lead three minutes into the second-half through Trevoh Chalobah, only for Arsenal to level on the hour mark through Merino following a cross from Bukayo Saka.

The “Blues” showed “bravery from back to front” despite having the numerical disadvantage for the “vast majority of the game.”
