Manchester City’s search for defensive reinforcements has hit a significant hurdle, with reports suggesting Marc Guehi prefers a move to Liverpool or Arsenal over the Etihad Stadium.
According to The Athletic’s Sam Lee on the Let Me Talk podcast, sources indicate the England international is leaning toward a summer exit rather than a January move.
Lee noted that “he prefers Liverpool [to City] in any case,” while additional reports claim the defender is also open to Arsenal as a means of remaining in London.
Despite City’s urgency to step up their pursuit following injuries to Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol, the long-standing interest from Liverpool appears to have placed the Premier League leaders in a secondary position for the center-back’s signature.
