Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu has urged his squad to maintain tactical discipline against Como to capitalize on Napoli’s recent draw and extend their lead at the top of Serie A.
Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu remains steadfast ahead of tonight’s clash with Como, despite Napoli’s 1-1 draw with Parma offering a chance to move nine points clear.
Addressing the pressure, Chivu told DAZN, “This changes nothing as far as we are concerned.”
He emphasized the need for a strong performance against a Como side currently battling Juventus for a Champions League qualification spot.
The Nerazzurri face tactical challenges following a fresh injury to captain Lautaro Martínez.
However, Chivu expressed full confidence in his available leaders, including Marcus Thuram and Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
Challenging his players to ignore external distractions and stick to their preparation, Chivu remarked, “I told my team we mustn’t change our shape, we have to follow what we prepared in training.”
