Crystal Palace have agreed on a £35 million fee for Tottenham’s Brennan Johnson and are currently inquiring about a potential loan-to-permanent deal for defender Radu Dragusin.
Crystal Palace are nearing a major January breakthrough with a reported £35 million agreement to sign Tottenham Hotspur winger Brennan Johnson.
Despite finishing the 2024/25 season as Spurs’ top scorer and netting the winning goal in the Europa League final, the 24-year-old has struggled for game time under Thomas Frank following the arrival of Mohammed Kudus.
Johnson has been restricted to just six Premier League starts this term, prompting Spurs to green-light his departure.
Beyond Johnson, the Eagles have also approached Tottenham regarding the availability of defender Radu Dragusin.
The Romanian international recently returned from an 11-month layoff following an ACL injury but currently sits behind Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Kevin Danso in the defensive pecking order.
Palace are reportedly exploring a loan deal for the 23-year-old, which could include a permanent option valued at approximately £26 million as they search for defensive reinforcements.
The potential double raid reflects manager Oliver Glasner’s urgent need for quality to lift Palace from their current slump.
While Johnson provides proven attacking output, the pursuit of Dragusin carries risk given his lengthy medical history.
Italian reporter Mirko Di Natale suggests that Dragusin is set for “crunch sit-down talks” with Spurs leadership as interest from Serie A also mounts, making Selhurst Park a competitive destination for the sidelined center-back.
