David Luiz praised Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz as “a phenomenon” while confirming his Cypriot team will maintain an offensive approach when they face the Italian giants in the Champions League.
Ahead of the Champions League clash against Juventus, veteran defender David Luiz of Cypriot club Pafos spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport and praised the Bianconeri’s young star, Kenan Yildiz. The Brazilian singled out the forward, stating:
“Yildiz is a phenomenon. He has an incredible style, I love watching him.” Luiz also confirmed Pafos will not approach the match with a passive attitude.
The former Chelsea and Arsenal defender also highlighted the strengths of Juventus’ squad and discussed his admiration for Italy coach Luciano Spalletti.
Despite the gulf between the sides, Luiz insisted on playing an attacking game: “We know our level, but we won’t go to Turin just to defend.
Juventus are a great team, but it won’t be easy to beat us if we stay united, solid and brave.”
