Ousmane Dembélé returned to training with PSG and may feature in their Champions League match against Tottenham this week, following calf and hamstring injuries sustained against Bayern Munich and with the France national team.
According to a report from the Associated Press, PSG coach Luis Enrique said he is hopeful Ousmane Dembélé will return for the club’s Champions League clash with Tottenham this week.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, who has not featured since injuring his left calf in PSG’s 2–1 loss to Bayern Munich on Nov. 4, was back in training on Tuesday. Enrique stated that “if there is no problem, he’ll be in the squad.”
Dembélé’s recent setback came just weeks after recovering from a right hamstring injury sustained during his international duty with France. Enrique acknowledged the difficulty in managing a player’s return from injury, especially someone of Dembélé’s importance:
“Each time an injured player comes back, it’s difficult to know how to manage it … If we’re talking about Ousmane, of course I’ll be more attentive than usual.” He added, “We would love to have Ousmane back, but we have to be careful.”
PSG head into the meeting with Tottenham buoyed by their previous success against the English side — they beat Spurs on penalties in the UEFA Super Cup in August, securing the club’s fifth trophy of 2025.
Currently, PSG sit fifth in their Champions League group, three points behind Bayern Munich after four games, and will be eager to get a healthy Dembélé back in contention.
