Dietmar Hamann believes Diego Simeone will likely join Chelsea as he nears the end of his long tenure at Atletico Madrid.
Former Liverpool star Dietmar Hamann has tipped Diego Simeone to become the next Chelsea manager, potentially replacing Liam Rosenior.
Despite Rosenior’s recent arrival following Enzo Maresca’s exit, Hamann believes the Atletico Madrid icon is destined for London.
“I can see Diego Simeone at Chelsea,” Hamann stated, noting that after fifteen years in Spain, the Argentine is unlikely to join Atletico’s direct domestic rivals.
The pundit expressed excitement over a potential move to England for the veteran coach. “I would love to see him in the Premier League.
You know, after he has been to Atletico, he won’t go to Real. I can’t see him at Barcelona,” Hamann added.
He concluded that Chelsea remains the most logical destination, calling the prospect of Simeone in England a “fantastic story.”
