Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will miss tonight’s match against Leeds United after sustaining a minor injury during a mid-week training session.
Manchester City face a significant hurdle in their title pursuit as Erling Haaland was ruled out of tonight’s trip to Leeds United.
The Premier League’s top scorer did not travel to Elland Road after sustaining an injury in training.
City currently trail Arsenal by five points, making this absence a major concern for Pep Guardiola’s side as they attempt to close the gap.
Addressing the late omission, Pep Guardiola stated: “Two days ago in training he had some problems and a little injury.
Not a big issue but not ready for today. We are without one top striker and we are playing with another top striker.”
Despite the setback, reports suggest the Norwegian superstar could return for Wednesday’s fixture against Nottingham Forest.
