Brazil secured a deserved 2-0 friendly victory over Senegal at the Emirates Stadium, powered by two first-half goals from Estevao and veteran midfielder Casemiro, providing positive momentum under Carlo Ancelotti.
Brazil claimed a routine 2-0 win over Senegal in a Saturday friendly at Arsenal’s home ground, the Emirates Stadium, according to a report from FotMob.
The result offered a boost to Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who have struggled in the initial phase of his reign, suffering surprise defeats to Bolivia and Japan, and who finished fifth in the CONMEBOL qualification group for the 2026 World Cup.
The victory was largely settled by an excellent first-half display, where the Seleção registered nine of their 14 total shots and 1.4 of their 1.67 expected goals (xG).
The breakthrough came in the 28th minute when Estevao scored, whipping a wonderful left-footed strike into the far corner after Casemiro’s pass was deflected into his path.
Estevao was a standout performer, creating three chances and playing 11 passes in the final third alongside his goal.
Seven minutes later, Casemiro doubled the lead, trapping Rodrygo’s delivery from a deep free-kick before scooping an unorthodox finish into the top-right corner.
Despite strong early chances, including Matheus Cunha hitting the crossbar, Brazil failed to score in the second period, but comfortably saw out the win.
Senegal, who showed improvement after the break, came closest when Iliman Ndiaye shot against the post.
