Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe will appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court next month after being arrested at Luton Airport in connection with an alleged assault.
Jordon Ibe, 30, is set to appear in court on March 6 charged with actual bodily harm. The winger, currently playing for Lokomotiv Sofia in Bulgaria, was taken into custody at Luton Airport in late January following an alleged assault in south-east London on December 14.
Ibe was released on bail after returning to the United Kingdom to address separate legal matters regarding prescription irregularities.
The former Premier League star’s career began with high expectations at Liverpool before a £15 million move to Bournemouth in 2016.
However, he struggled to maintain consistency and has since played for thirteen different clubs, including several stints in English non-league football.
Metropolitan Police confirmed his injuries were not life-threatening. “Fawaz is fine, by God’s grace,” his legal representative stated regarding his current welfare.
