FIFA and Board of Peace launch $75m football initiative for Gaza

FIFA and the newly established Board of Peace have signed a strategic partnership to raise $75 million for football infrastructure and community recovery in Gaza, featuring the construction of a national stadium and dozens of local pitches.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino and U.S. President Donald Trump have announced a landmark partnership between the governing body and the Board of Peace to fund Gaza’s reconstruction.

The $75 million initiative aims to build 50 mini-pitches, five full-size fields, a state-of-the-art academy, and a 20,000-seat national stadium.

The project focuses on “helping the recovery process in post-conflict areas” while stimulating local commercial activities and youth participation.

The Board of Peace, established under Trump, coordinates the rebuilding efforts contingent on the disarmament of Hamas and Israeli troop withdrawals.

Highlighting the sport’s role in diplomacy, Infantino stated: “Together with the support of the Board of Peace, FIFA will drive this partnership, which is built to deliver impact at every stage.”

The first phase of community activation and mini-pitch installation is expected within six months.
