Fifa president Gianni Infantino is facing an investigation by the organization’s ethics committee following a complaint from human rights group FairSquare.
The complaint alleges that Infantino violated Fifa’s political neutrality rules through his public support and awarding of a peace prize to U.S. President Donald Trump.
FairSquare claims Infantino’s actions, including social media posts and award presentations, constitute multiple breaches of Fifa’s regulations, arguing that the president cannot unilaterally dictate the organization’s values.
