🚨 FIFA have announced a new pricing tier for fans of qualified teams for the 2026 World Cup. The so-called Supporter Entry Tier is set at a fixed price of $60 for each of the 104 matches.
The initiative is designed to further support travelling fans and follows backlash at the dynamic pricing.
A standard category one ticket for England vs. Croatia was as high as $700, but now fans from each nation can potentially buy cheaper.
FIFA say 20 million ticket requests have been received so far during the current Random Selection Draw phase.
The new tier is only available to fans from national teams that have qualified for the 2026 World Cup.
Supporter Entry Tier sales will be managed individually by the Participating Member Associations (PMAs). Each PMA will define its own eligibility criteria and application process.
In total, 50% of each PMA allocation will fall within the most affordable range, namely the Supporter Value Tier (40%) and the new the Supporter Entry Tier (10%).
The remaining allocation is split evenly between the Supporter Standard Tier and the Supporter Premier Tier.
The Random Selection Draw ballot remains open until Tuesday, 13 January 2026 at 11:00 ET (16:00 BST).
FIFA add that as a not-for-profit organisation, revenue is reinvested from the World Cup to “fuel the growth of men’s, women’s and youth football throughout the 211 FIFA Member Associations…”
FIFA expects to reinvest over 90% of its budgeted investments for the 2023-2026 cycle back into the game, with the aim of significantly boosting the development of football around the world.”
